Coronavirus regulations are holding up Chelsea's move for RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.
The Blues have agreed a fee and personal terms with the 24-year-old.
But COVID-19 rules mean Werner cannot fly to UK to undergo a medical, and Chelsea doctors can't head to Germany.
German football expert Rafa Honigstein insists this is the only reason why the deal hasn't been completed.
On Twitter, Honigstein said: "Delay in the Werner deal is solely down to the practicalities of getting a medical done. He can't fly to the UK due to Bundesliga Covid-19 regulations and Chelsea docs can't fly to Germany because they would have to isolate for 14 days upon return.
"Chelsea could use German FA doctors in the meantime but they're more likely to wait until German season is over on June 27 or quarantine regulations in the UK change."
