The Manchester Evening News says he remains popular with his Manchester United players despite his spat with Luke Shaw.

There are however said to be two players who are unhappy with Mourinho's appointment and the reports claim the leaks coming out of the club could have come from them.

News emerged of a spat between the United boss and Luke Shaw after the 3-1 defeat to Watford in the Premier League last weekend.

But Mourinho has already pleased his squad by guaranteeing them a day off after every match whatever the result.

The move has gone down well with senior players as they can plan time with their families without fear of being called into training at the last minute.
