Chelsea boss Antonio Conte never forgave Diego Costa after one specific coaching staff clash, it has been revealed.

Conte was well aware Costa's problems controlling his weight during their time together.

The now Atletico Madrid striker was forced to work with two Chelsea staff members in a bid to stay in shape. One time, though, he hit the wall at Julio Tous, Conte's own fitness coach.

And the Daily Mail says the Chelsea row was never forgiven, with Conte making his mind up there and then to sell the player.

At Atletico, they indulge him by putting up with his mood swings.

But at Chelsea, it was a different story, with Conte refusing to tolerate what he perceived to be a lack of respect.
