Talk of Barcelona's move for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba was driven by his agent, it has been claimed.

Marca says Barca never made an offer for Pogba over the summer - despite claims both in Spain and England.

Mino Raiola, it is suggested, was the source of all the speculation - including claims of an offer being tabled for Pogba at the beginning of the week.

Instead, it's claimed Raiola was only pushing United to deliver his client a bumper new pay-rise.

Pogba was handed the captaincy last night and scored in United's victory over Leicester City.
