Paul Mitchell was in the stands for Getafe's win against Cadiz on Monday.

Marca says Mitchell was in attendance on behalf of Manchester United, where he is due to be named new sporting director.

Mitchell is joining United as Sir Jim Ratcliffe buys a 25 per cent stake in the club. Mitchell has been in talks with Ratcliffe's INEOS about a role with the investment firm. He left AS Monaco over the summer.

Mitchell was at Getafe to check on Mason Greenwood, who is on-loan from United.

And the young attacker didn't disappoint as he created Getafe's winner on the night struck by Borja Mayoral.
