Manchester United had a deal agreed for Palmeiras whizkid Gabriel Menino over the summer, it has been revealed.
Premier League Brasil reports United had agreed terms with Menino's camp and had had an £8m offer accepted by Palmeiras.
But United then pulled out of the agreement as they were forced to "focus on other areas" of the team.
With little room to manoeuvre due to Financial Fair Play restrictions, United need to money agreed to go to a midfield signing.
United are considering going back for Menino in 2024.
