Liverpool have been watching Fluminense ace Andre Trindade for three years, it has been revealed.
The Reds are in talks with Flu about a deal for the 22 year-old.
O Globo says Liverpool have been watching Andre since 2020.
The Reds first had scouts watch Andre in the Coipa Sao Paulo e Futebol Junior three years ago and have kept tabs ever since.
Brazil football expert Tim Vickery stated this week on the potential of a deal: "First of all they've got to get the deal done and there's a complication here.
"Money talks but how loudly does it talk when the club are looking to win South America's Champions League - the Copa Libertadores - for the first time in history.
"They're in the knockout stages, they should get through next week against Argentinos Juniors, then the quarter-finals are right at the end of the month just before the window clams shut, so that is a potential complication with this deal."
