REVEALED: Leicester have Luis Hernandez agreement, but...

Leicester City have an agreement with Sporting Gijon defender Luis Hernandez, it can be confirmed.

Hernandez, off contract in June, has agreed a contract with the Premier League champions-elect - but has not put pen to paper.

The 26 year-old former Real Madrid Castilla player was asked about the situation yesterday and did not deny the agreement exists.

"I will not say anything out of respect for myself, my teammates and the club," Hernandez replied.

Pressed if he is, indeed, joining Leicester, the Spaniard added: "I'm going to focus on the team..."

Meanwhile, Tribalfootball.com has learned Hernandez was also in Bosman talks with Bournemouth for some weeks. He had been speaking with the Cherries and Real Betis before the Foxes made their interest known.

Upon fielding Leicester's approach, Hernandez broke off negotiations with Bournemouth and Betis.

A deal has now been settled between the two parties and barring any extraordinary counter offer, Hernandez will sign for Leicester at the end of the Primera Division season.
