Rasmus Hojlund rejected a bigger contract at PSG to join Manchester United this past summer.
The Denmark striker, 20, left Atalanta for United last month for a fee of €70m.
And while in talks with United, Hojlund held a video call with PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi. PSG's plans were laid out to the youngster, but while impressed, Hojlund wasn't swayed.
The Athletic says even a superior contract offer tabled to Hojlund's camp couldn't convince the centre-forward.
Hojlund would eventually pen terms with United to 2028.
