Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was quickly in contact with Harry Wilson after he scored in Bournemouth's defeat of Aston Villa.
The 22-year-old joined the Cherries on a season-long loan deal from the Reds, and he marked his first appearance for the club with a trademark strike from distance to put Eddie Howe's men 2-0 up against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Saturday.
Bournemouth would go on to win the game 2-1 and Klopp sent a message of congratulations to Wilson for his goal and the win for his new club.
When Wilson boarded the Cherries' team coach he reportedly checked his phone to find a selfie of a happy Klopp with a clenched fist and the words "Well done - we're all delighted for you."
