Sacked Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was left unimpressed after a first transfer meeting with the club's new owners.
Tuchel was given his marching orders by the American barely 24 hours after Chelsea's Champions League campaign began with a 1-0 away defeat to Dinamo Zagreb - his 100th game in charge of the Blues.
Various reports indicated a break down in Tuchel and co-owner Todd Boehly's relationship, with the latter reportedly describing the German boss as a “nightmare" to work with. However, other sources understand the American also left a bad impression when he drafted up an aspirational '4-4-3' formation for Tuchel to implement one day.
The Athletic says the gaffe, which features 11 outfield players, was pitched by Boehly and co-owner Behdad Eghbali. It is understood to have been made in one of the first recruitment meetings Boehly held with Tuchel.
And this mistake was one of many 'slapstick' moments that were encountered during the early meetings between the two parties.
