Barcelona have saved a massive €60m from Samuel Umtiti's contract release on Friday.

It was agreed between the two parties that Umtiti leave Barca three years before his deal was to expire.

Sport says Umtiti's contract was worth €20m-a-season net.

The defender was due a part pay-off after negotiations, but the agreement still represents a huge saving for Barca.

A return to Lyon is now mooted for Umtiti.
