French club Rennes denied Kamil Grosicki the chance to join Burnley late on deadline day.

The Daily Mirror reports that the 28-year-old winger had departed Poland's training camp to undergo a medical with the Clarets.

However, Rennes pulled the plug on a potential £6.8million despite the wheels being in motion.

It is understood that Rennes changed their tune about selling Grosicki and in the end canned the transfer.
