Rennes president Olivier Letang has confirmed an offer from Watford for Ismaila Sarr.

However, he insists there has been no follow up since rejecting that original proposal.

Letang told RMC: "We have not had a new offer since last time. The English club did not come back to us. I will not give you a number. Today, we are happy if there is another year left. The English market closes in seventeen days. The possibility that he stays with us is very strong.

"Yes, it is Watford (who made an offer). Other clubs have inquired, but without making a firm offer. Today, we are in the interests of the club. We spoke again with Julien (Stephan). If Ismaïla stays one more year with us, we would be happy. If a club arrives and submits an offer, we will discuss it."
