Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi insists they can be happy after their Champions League draw with Inter Milan.

Spain international Zubimendi says they proved they belong at this level with their performance.

He smiled: “We have shown that we are at the same level as the best teams in the Champions League.

“For me, the Champions League is the tournament that we all aspire to play in, and being able to do it in my hometown, wearing these colors in front of our people is the best.

“I think we must maintain the personality we showed against Inter. In the end they are all great teams, but our team is also in the Champions League and at the same level as the best. We have shown it.

"We need to continue with what we showed in this return to the top continental competition."
