Real Sociedad and Nacho Monreal have entered new contract talks.

The former Arsenal defender's current deal will expire at the end of this season.

But La Real have already moved to extend Monreal's deal, with veteran to turn 35 later this month.

He said on Friday: "We are talking.

"My contract ends at the end of the season and we have already started the negotiations. I want to continue, the club I think too. So the day we agree, I will sign."
