Real Oviedo announce Camarasa leave of absence for 'mental health'

Segunda Division Real Oviedo have announced Victor Camarasa is taking a leave of absence.

Oviedo have granted the former Real Betis and Crystal Palace midfielder is taking time off for 'mental health' issues.

The club announced: "Our player Víctor Camarasa will from this moment, and for an indefinite period of time, on the sidelines of the daily life of the first team with the sole objective of taking care of his mental health.

"The Club unconditionally supports the player and participated in the decision in a process supervised at all times by the Medical Services and corresponding specialists.

"We thank in advance for the affection and respect towards the person of Víctor Camarasa and ask that his privacy be respected."
