Real Mallorca midfielder Luka Romero has committed his international future to Argentina.
AS says the battle between the Spanish and Argentine federations over the teenager is now over.
RFEF directors have been speaking with Romero and his family for the past month about committing to La Roja. But the youngster has refused to budge.
He was flattered by the interest of the federation, but his father sent a message to directors last week to communicate his son's desire to continue being part of the Argentine youth setup.
While playing regularly for Mallorca B this season, Romero made his Primera Division debut last season at the age of 15 years and 219 days.
