Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has avoided serious injury.

Marca says Benzema's injury fears have been allayed, following significant tests on an adductor problem suffered against Valencia.

The former Lyon forward had to leave the pitch in the 4-1 defeat at the hands of Los Che, and there were real concerns it could be a significant injury that kept him on the sidelines for a while.

Tests have determined that the adductor discomfort he felt on Sunday was merely a result of being played too much, which is happening to a lot of players in the current congested calendar.

Results showed that there was no significant damage to the player and he will have absolutely no problem in being ready to play in the club's next LaLiga Santander match, which comes on November 21 against Villarreal.
