Real Madrid attacker Vinicius Junior was delighted with his double in their 2-1 win against Elche.

Real Madrid ran out winners at the Martínez Valero thanks to a Vini Jr brace.

He later said: “I've been working hard ever since I arrived at Real Madrid and now the goals are starting come. I managed to put in another good performance today and get on the scoresheet twice. I'm delighted, I want to keep on helping the team until the end of the season.

“The way the team works as a unit is crucial. We have to run hard to score goals, it's important we find a cutting edge both up top and in defence, and we defended well and caused problems for their goalkeeper today. This was a tough place to come but we have top quality players. We're all important to this team and Modrić is always telling me the goals will come.

“Ancelotti gives us the confidence we all need. We all have to be ready because we're going to have to be able to call on everyone, given that we've got so many games in quick succession. We now have to rest up before we go again on Wednesday."
