Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has paid tribute to Luka Modric and Raphael Varane.

Florentino insists the pair prove the quality of the current squad.

The president stated: "The best players in the world are at Real Madrid. They are the ones who helped us to lead UEFA in five consecutive years.

"We have a spectacular team, eleven players named for the best FIFA eleven and Modric as the best player in UEFA. I want to make a special mention to Varane, to be world champion with France.

"We are very proud of this group that represents the values of Real Madrid: work, humility, never giving up, talent."
