Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is willing to sell Raphael Varane this summer.

Off contract in 2022, Varane is stalling on considering new contract talks with Real Madrid.

Onda Cero via Le 10 Sport says Manchester United are watching developments and Varane is weighing up his options.

However, Florentino is prepared to take the decision out of Varane's hands this summer if he continues to stall. The president will not consider allowing the Frenchman to run down his contract.

Instead, Florentino will sell Varane this summer if no new terms are agreed. Ideally, the president would want Varane to stay with the club long-term, but he will not consider allowing Varane to run down his deal and leave for nothing in the summer of 2022.

Interestingly, it's reported Varane has felt targeted by the local media and blamed for the team's struggles in the first-half of the season and as he comes up to ten years since joining from Lens, feels it is the right time to now leave.

So far this season, Varane has managed 36 appearances and scored twice.
