Real Madrid president Florentino Perez sought out coach Julen Lopetegui after defeat to Levante.

Marca says Lopetegui is confident of keeping his job as Real coach after speaking with Perez following the shock loss.

Florentino met with captain Sergio Ramos immediately after the loss, before seeing Lopetegui to analyse the current problems.

Lopetegui's feeling after the meeting is that he will continue as coach, or at least for the immediate future.

While the president did not offer any assurances or confirm his commitment to Lopetegui, the coach left feeling positive that he will remain in his job.
