Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is ready to help Chelsea with their plans for Mateo Kovacic.

On a straight loan at Chelsea, Kovacic's future is in limbo due to the club's transfer ban.

However, Florentino is ready to come to their rescue and help them circumvent the suspension and keep hold of the Croatia midfielder.

The president would be willing, reports El Confidencial, to extend the loan another 12 months - with the inclusion of an obligatory permanent option.

Florentino would be prepared to put the proposal forward if Chelsea accept a €35m fee will be due in June 2020.
