Real Madrid senior players have made it clear to president Florentino Perez they want coach Julen Lopetegui to stay.
Florentino will chair a crisis board meeting today to discuss Lopetegui's position after Saturday's defeat to Alaves. The 1-0 reverse was the fourth consecutive game without a win or a goal for Real.
However, Okdiario says Real's players have told the president they want the coach to remain in charge. Indeed, the message relayed has been "we are with him until death".
A player source said: "We have to recover, calm down, the whole season remains ... there is no other way to go."
Indeed, the squad is confident Lopetegui has the skill and ability to guide them out of the current crisis.
