Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane is in direct contact with the entourage of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.

Mundo Deportivo says while there's some internal opposition to moving for Pogba, Zidane remains determined to bring the World Cup winner to Madrid next year.

Indeed, Zidane is personally driving Real's interest as he maintains contact with Pogba's representatives to assure him that the deal remains on.

Pogba, for his part, has also made it clear the feeling's mutual and that his priority is to join Real sometime in 2020.

The midfielder has also let it be known he wants the chance to play with Karim Benzema - something he's been denied with France due to coach Didier Deschamps' opinion of the Real striker.
