Spanish football chiefs will consider a suspension for Real Madrid midfielder Fede Valverde after his alleged attack on Villarreal's Alex Baena.
It's claimed Valverde punched Baena in the Santiago Bernabeu carpark after Villarreal's 3-2 LaLiga win a fortnight ago. It's suggested Valverde was reacting to a past insult about his pregnant wife. Baena has denied the claim and reported the incident to local police.
Football chiefs are now discussing whether to suspend Valverde for his actions, says Ok Diario. A ban of 4-12 games is up for consideration should the Real midfielder be found guilty.
No decision from the committee is expected for another month.
