Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos says he appreciates his relationship with president Florentino Perez.

Kroos says he plans new contract talks early next year.

And on Florentino, he stated: "He was the man who hired me, he welcomed me with great affection from the first day until today. There hasn't been a day in these eight and a half years that I've had a problem with him.

"Our relationship is open and sincere, he knows my character, he knows that I don't do stupid things, he knows that if there is something I say it to his face and I expect the same from him. He always defended me and gave me his trust. That's why if we talk about Real Madrid we have to talk about him, but also about the club, the teammates, the coaches, who have always given me a lot of confidence, which is always important.

"It means you can play with less pressure if you have that trust from the whole club. That's why I feel privileged. Five Champions or one World Cup? I keep the 5 Champions Leagues, for the quantities and because I always like consistency. Winning 5 in 8 years is something very special. It's not a very difficult question to answer (laughs)."
