Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has undergone a successful knee operation.
He underwent surgery this Wednesday after injuring the internal meniscus of the right knee in Tuesday's training session. Courtois had only just returned after suffering an ACL injury in August to his left knee.
Courtois will now begin his recovery in the coming days and will be approximately two months out. As such, his season is now over.
He will also not be part of Belgium's Euros campaign.
Instead, Courtois will have a clear summer and a full preseason ahead of next season.
