Real Madrid have informed Marcelo he can leave this summer.

Marca says the Brazilian is going to play a secondary role next season - even under Zinedine Zidane - as he'll be playing the part of backup behind the incoming Ferland Mendy from Lyon.

The club are happy to put the ball in Marcelo's court regarding his future, and the Brazilian can decide whether he wants to stay and fight for whatever minutes come his way, or if he wants to move on in search of a more prominent role elsewhere.

Juventus could be worth watching. Cristiano Ronaldo's current side are searching for a left back this summer, and Marcelo has a very close relationship with the Portuguese.
