Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has posted a message to social media after suffering a new knee injury.

Courtois left training in tears yesterday at Valdebebas. And subsequent tests confirmed a tear of the internal meniscus of the right knee.

The Belgian had only just recovered from ACL surgery seven months ago to his other knee.

Courtois posted: "Thank you all for your messages.

"Sad for an injury that is only a small setback that will make me come back much stronger. Feeling your support makes me cope much better."

Courtois will now undergo fresh surgery on the new setback.
