Real Madrid goalkeeper Courtois: Intensity dropped for Real Betis stalemate

Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was happy with their 0-0 draw against Real Betis.

The result ended the LaLiga campaign for this season's champions.

Courtois said: “I'd like to thank the fans for always supporting us. That's why we're in the final. I hope we can make them happy on Saturday. The intensity levels dropped a bit, the heat doesn't help. We wanted to get into our rhythm and not pick up any injuries.

"We've done a lot of fitness work this week for one final push and to be at our best, and that's why the manager rotated the team.

“Now we have to rest this weekend and on Monday we have to get back to the intensity levels we need for the final. We're up for it. You don't get the chance the play in many finals. Madrid haven't been in many in recent years, but that doesn't always happen. Getting to the Champions League final is no mean feat and many teams want to win it."
