Real Madrid GM Jorge Valdano is convinced they have the squad to topple champions Barcelona.
Valdano is confident they are more than a match for Barca this season.
"Barcelona is living a dream, but when they wake up there will be Real Madrid," said Valdano.
"It will be difficult to topple Barca because they play from memory. They have two of the world's top players in Xavi and Messi.
"Last season there were many changes and this market campaign is complete with several additions and some young ones. The change of mentality is total."
