Real Madrid coach Zidane defends quiet Hazard as Diego Costa stars

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane defended Eden Hazard after their 7-3 thrashing by Atletico Madrid.

Hazard was outshone by former Chelsea teammate Diego Costa after he scored four goals and was sent off on the day.

Zidane said, “It's not about Hazard under-performing, it's the whole team. I first and foremost. You can't lay the blame on one or two players. We're all together. We got it wrong at the start today and we have to forget this quickly."

On the game, he added: “I'm not concerned, but I'm hurt. You don't play to lose. But we can't be looking backwards, it was a bad game and now we have to focus on what went wrong so we can try and make sure it doesn't happen again in the next match."
