Real Madrid coach Santiago Solari has jumped to the defence of skipper Sergio Ramos.
Solari discussed the controversy surrounding Ramos purposefully picking up a yellow card in the closing stages of Los Blancos' Champions League game against Ajax.
That yellow ensures that Ramos will miss the second leg and will be able to feature in the quarter-final without the prospect of missing a game due to suspension, though UEFA have opened an investigation into the matter.
"We do not make the rules," Solari said in response to the yellow card issue.
"I cannot speculate about what could happen.
"Sergio has said that he forced the foul. It was an answer to a trick question.
"We are thinking only about the next game, we do not make speculations about the future.
"Only Girona matters and then Levante.
"The incident in Amsterdam explained itself."
