Real Madrid chief Emilio Butragueno insists they did enough to win against Athletic Bilbao.

Real signed off for the year with a 0-0 draw.

Butragueno stated: "The team has played a great game in general terms. It has deserved to win, the circumstances did not go our way and there is nothing to reproach. We could not win.

"We have had many chances and the team has played very well. The team is in a great line of form.

"In these last three results we deserved many more. We must continue in this line."
