Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema was the subject of jeers during victory over Sporting Gijon.

Benzema has battled for form at the Santiago Bernabeu and was again quiet for the defeat of Sporting.

The striker has four goals to his name along with one assist in 10 games in LaLiga.

Afterwards, Real coach Zinedine Zidane insisted: "He works hard for himself and for the team. There will always be unfounded criticism, but he takes it well."
