Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo: Victory over Braga the perfect game

Real Madrid attacker Rodrygo Goes was delighted with his contribution for their Champions League win against Braga.

Rodrygo struck in the 3-0 win and was later named man-of-the-match.

He said, “I'm really happy. It was a perfect game, three goals and a clean sheet. I'm delighted because I got a goal, I set one up and first and foremost because Real Madrid are into the Round of 16.

“I want to thank the gaffer. We have to appreciate the people who look out for us when we're not at our best. I wasn't having my best spell but he was always there, saying the right things and encouraging me. It was my duty to score and to thank him for all he's done.

“We have so much quality if we're in good shape. It's unusual for us not to score. We haven't been at our best in that sense but we're working hard and trying to improve on it. Everything went right today and I hope we can keep that up into the upcoming games."

On Real goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, Rodrygo added: “It just shows the strength of this team. Lunin always trains brilliantly. He saved a penalty today and he made another superb stop at the end of the game too. He was fantastic and we're all going to carry on in the same vein."
