Real Madrid announce legal action against Villarrejo over bribe claims

Real Madrid have announced president Florentino Perez is taking legal action against Juan Manuel Villarrejo.

The former commissioner has accused Real Madrid of bribing referees.

Real Madrid announced today: "The president of Real Madrid CF, Florentino Pérez, has ordered the immediate presentation of the corresponding judicial action against the former commissioner Villarejo for the false accusations made on the Catalan radio station RAC1."

Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, spoke about Villarrejo's statements about Florentino today: “He said two things. That Florentino has bribed referees and that he is untouchable. About the first thing, if he has something, prove it. He speaks a lot. Villarejo's tactics are incredible and condemnable.

"The second part, about Rubalcaba telling him that Florentino is untouchable, I believe it. It's not that Villarejo says it, he is vox populi in this country. I also say it, it is objective data. Rubalcaba was a very good friend of Florentino, everything fits for me."
