Real Betis sensation Assane Diao is delighted to be part of Spain's U21 team.

Diao also qualifies for Senegal, but has declared himself fully committed to Spain.

On Senegal, he said: "Neither my father nor I have ever received any news on this subject. Furthermore, I am very happy here with the opportunity they are giving me."

On already being amongst the goals with Betis, Diao added: "I still don't believe it.

"In the reserve team I had been playing on the left wing or as a forward. On the right I have played very little. I thought it was going to be more difficult for me because of the issue of getting inside, but as it turned out I'm not bad at shooting left-handed either (laughs)!"
