Real Betis legend Joaquin can understand the frustrations of Barcelona coach Xavi.

Xavi is leaving the job at the end of the season, fed-up with the way he and his players have been portrayed in the media.

Joaquin said: "I have been lucky enough to coincide with him.

"I knew perfectly well where he was coming from, I don't need to say it. Everyone does their job to the best of their ability, the only thing I can say is that I have the utmost admiration and respect because I know what he feels for football, for Barcelona, for his work... Sometimes things come as they come, although I am not going to be the one who values Xavi's work, I have the utmost respect for him.

"For me he is going to be great, always."
