Real Betis coach Pellegrini: It was a complete game for victory over Valencia

Real Betis coach Manuel Pellegrini felt they produced the "complete game" for their 3-0 win against Valencia.

Assane Diao, Marc Roca and Eze Abde struck the goals for Betis.

Pellegrini said, "It is always necessary to win, I don't know when it isn't but from there to dramatise, it didn't seem logical to me. There were things to improve, today we played a very complete game.

" Everything has a double perspective, the important thing is that internally we know what we are playing for.

"We need to win as much as possible and today's game leaves me very satisfied in all aspects,.

"We played a complete game because we scored the goals that the Cádiz goalkeeper saved the other day. We knew what we were playing for, we were not going to commit harakiri, nor change the system, nor change the idea... we are not candidates for the title. We know that we have to work and win as much as possible.

"We had a very dominant first half where Valencia had no chances and we were missing a goal, finishing off the number of chances we had and luckily Assane scored the first."

He was also questioned about the status of Marc Bartra: "He has an ankle tendon that becomes inflamed as he loads himself and we understood that he had enough at half time. I hope he recovers between now and Thursday."
