Real Betis coach Pellegrini happy with victory over Aris: But Isco was wrong to do that

Real Betis coach Manuel Pellegrini was left pleased with their 4-1 Europa League win against Aris Limassol.

Borja Iglesias, Aitor Ruibal, Marc Roca and Eze Abde struck for the hosts.

Pellegrini later said: "A very complete first half, but we ensured it with goals and finishes and some problems that we will see how they are solved between now and Sunday."

The Betis coach made three changes fifteen minutes into the second half "because the team was not pushing. When you play with these teams that are great in their leagues, they are dangerous on the counterattacks and we must have possession of the ball.

"Aitor's great goal came and unfortunately we didn't convert the penalty, but we scored two more."

Pellegrini was not particularly happy with Isco's decision to give the ball to Fekir for the penalty.

"It meant a lot to Nabil but just coming off the bench and without minutes, the risk was important. The game seemed controlled but a mistake was made, it was the nice thing but we had to secure the game. I always say that two or three balls make the games and the results are not finalised until the end."
