Reading boss Steve Coppell is confident of holding onto striker Leroy Lita.

Lita is being tracked by West Brom, Sunderland and Portsmouth and has not started any of the last seven matches.

But Coppell said: "I have not had any discussions with Leroy. He understands.

"If the team were getting beat and we were not scoring and I wasn't changing it then he would have cause for complaints.

"But we're looking reasonably effective, we are getting a few results."
