RB Leipzig manager Tedesco confirms Adams leaving for Leeds

RB Leipzig coach Dominic Tedesco has given his blessing to Tyler Adams to sign for Leeds United.

The U.S. men's national team star is set to shine in the Premier League this coming season, after the two clubs agreed a fee.

He is now traveling to England for a medical and to sign his contract with the Elland Road club.

Adams will unite with former RB Leipzig boss Jesse Marsch and American team-mate Brendan Aaronson.

"The topic is so far through," Tedesco told RB Live on Adams' departure.

"He was very liked here, he's a really good player.

"[He is] a fine character. It hurts to say goodbye. But you have to be honest with each other.

"If a player is unhappy with his playing time – we have an extremely large number of players in the centre – then you have to understand him and fulfill his wishes."
