RB Leipzig chief Schroder confirms likely Werner sale

Chelsea flop Timo Werner could have to deal with further turmoil in his career.

The German centre forward had to leave the Premier League two summers ago after a poor stint at the Stamford Bridge club.

Werner went back to RB Leipzig, where he initially returned to his old goalscoring ways.

However, Werner is set to be dumped by RB Leipzig, with sporting director Rouven Schroder admitting Werner can leave in the winter.

Schroder declared: "We look carefully at our squad, and we want players who have that something a bit different in their heads.

"Those are the types of players who we will pick.

"Timo is going through a difficult spell, and we are supporting him. Life isn't always sunshine.

"If he has the notion that he would like to do something else, then we will deal with it."
