Rayo Vallecano striker Raul de Tomas has declared he intends to return to Real Madrid next season.

De Tomas is on-loan at Rayo from Real Madrid.

And he said: "Now it's early, I don't want to get ahead, because there are many months until June, the only thing I can tell you is that I have to go back to Madrid because I have a contract with them, it's something I have to respect.

"Once I'm there, we'll see what happens."

De Tomas also said: "When I was a kid I looked at (Zinedine) Zidane, it's not my position, but the class he had and the way he played ... I've always been a forward but I like to see players like Zidane, if I had to say a forward I would say (Karim) Benzema, he's the complete player and I feel identified with him in the sense of knowing how to play, how to combine ... He is an example for me."
