Rayo Vallecano coach Perez happy with Real Madrid draw; pleased De Tomas scored

Rayo Vallecano coach Inigo Perez was delighted with their 1-1 draw against Real Madrid.

It marked a first game in charge for Perez.

He said: "The point has many aspects to analyse, all of them are positive. The first is at a qualifying level, we are one point closer to salvation and one point further from relegation.

"We appeal to sensitivity and the emotional, it is a game that could be good for us, but we cannot relax. I am very proud of what we have experienced this week and for the game."

On Raul de Tomas' penalty, he said: "Forwards thrive on goals, it's a cliché, but it's like that. When you live with them, you notice that they're sad and it shows that this is the case. This goal is vital for Raúl, it comes from a difficult moment and he "It's going to be good. When you score goals and score points, we're all happy."

He also said: "It is beautiful to experience football here, anyone who has been on a day like this knows it. We are fortunate that our people always respond and in every game, it is true that due to the connotation of the rival and the situation in the that the team was there, the atmosphere has been beautiful. I hope we can experience more days like this."
