Ratcliffe wants Fletcher to stay with Man Utd

Manchester United are set to bring in a club legend in a new position under Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Per The Telegraph, Darren Fletcher is set to be appointed in a new role, as he currently serves as technical director.

The former Scotland midfielder, who played 342 times for the club, is having his role assessed by INEOS.

The club's new investors want to ensure all aspects of the football department are optimized.

While the 40-year-old is not likely to lose his job, he may be moved into a role that better suits his skill sets.

Despite being a technical director, Fletcher has often been on the touchline with boss Erik ten Hag and pictured working with the players on the training pitch.
