Rashford happy to be back (& scoring) in Man Utd Cup triumph

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford was delighted to be on the scoresheet for their Carabao Cup win against Burnley.

Rashford scored a super individual goal in the 2-0 triumph.

''It's always good to come back and it was a tough game,'' began Rashford as he spoke to Sky Sports.

''It's good to get the win and go onto the next round. It's just about recovering now and being ready for the next game."

Rashford was keen to talk through his thinking during the build-up to his devastating finish beyond Bailey Peacock-Farrell in front of the Stretford End.

''There was obviously space in front of me and you are almost just waiting for the right time to get the pass off,'' he said.

''The gap just appeared and I sort of just went for it. Thankfully it came off.''

Rashford also insisted that he is trying his best to be versatile in order to better benefit the sides output.

''It is such a key factor of my game and I am trying to just improve on being effective on whichever side I am playing on, whether that's wide or through the middle,'' he added.

''I mentioned before, but the players we have in the team and the passes they can make [are superb].

''I have to just concentrate on making good runs and making sure my timing is good and I feel like I will always make chances.''
